GAS PHASE APPLICATION
AIR TREATMENT – Activated carbon is effective in removing volatile organic compounds which is a common cause of odors.
CIGARETTE FILTERS – Activated carbon is effective in adsorbing and removing the gas phase chemicals it comes in contact with .
DEODORIZATION– Activated charcoal is extremely effective at odor control. It can reduce unpleasant odor in rooms, refrigerators and so on. . The tremendous surface area of activated charcoal (1 teaspoon = a football field) quickly adsorbs unpleasant scents–not just masks them. So, while other odor control techniques just cover up the smells, activated charcoal actually eliminates them permanently.
GAS PURIFICATION – Filters with activated carbon are usually used in compressed air and gas purification to remove oil vapors, odors, and other hydrocarbons from the air.
CABIN FILTER – Filters with activated carbon are used reduce some organic compound in a cabin of automobiles.
FRUIT & FLOWER PRESERVATION – The activated carbon aims to control odors that causes fruits and vegetables to ripen and decay, and flowers to wilt.
LIQUID PHASE APPLICATION
WATER PURIFICATION – Activated carbon filtration can effectively reduce certain organic compounds and chlorine in drinking water. It can also reduce the quantity of lead, dissolved radon, and harmless taste- and odor-causing compounds.
DECHLORINIZATION – One of the many adsorption properties of activated carbon is its high capacity to reduce chlorine
MUNICIPAL / INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT – Activated carbon is used in water and wastewater treatment to reduce some impurities in water used for industries. primarily as an adsorbent for the removal of relatively low levels of organic and inorganic contaminants via transfer from the dissolved phase to the solid carbon surface.
GOLD RECOVERY – Highly activated carbon is used in the dissolved gold recovery process, either by introducing it directly into the CIL (carbon-in-leach) tanks or into separate CIP (carbon-in-pulp) tanks after leaching. The activated carbon adsorbs the dissolved gold from the leach slurry thereby concentrating it onto a smaller mass of solids. The carbon is then separated from the slurry by screening and subjected to further treatment to recover the adsorbed gold.
COOKING OIL FILTRATION –
OLEO CHEMICAL REFINING (GLYCERINE) – The activated carbon is used to reduce some impurities such as color contents or small volume of by-products in the solutions in pharmaceutical, oleo chemicals and other chemical industries.
SOLID APPLICATION
SOIL CONDITIONER –
Activated carbon is added on the agricultural soil as soil conditioner.
